Description
Make the ultimate churro cheesecake recipe with flaky layers, creamy filling, and a cinnamon-sugar topping. Perfect for any dessert lover!
Ingredients
- 2 cans of crescent roll dough: The secret to those buttery, flaky layers.
- 2 blocks of cream cheese (8 oz each): Softened for a smooth, creamy filling.
- 1 cup granulated sugar: Divided for the filling and topping.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract: Adds a subtle sweetness to the filling.
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon: The star of that churro flavor.
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter: melted, for a buttery finish on top.
Instructions

Take a pack of crescent rolls weighing 8 ounces. Spread the dough and pinch the seams together to form one rectangular piece. Place the dough into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch cake pan. Spread the dough evenly on the base because this will be the crust.

In a decent bowl, cream together the softened cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth and well-combined. Layer the cream mixture evenly over the surface of the crust and even it out.
Open the second tube of crescent roll dough and unroll it. Press the seams together gently, just like you did with the first tube. In addition, carefully place this layer over the cream cheese filling, making sure to cover it completely. What’s more, press lightly around the edges to ensure the dough stays in place and the filling is sealed in.

Next, the melted butter is being poured over the top crescent roll layer in an even coating. Doing this assists in the making of that lovely buttery, goldenbrown finish.

Generously sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the buttered top layer. Go ahead and coat it evenly—the more cinnamon sugar, the more churro vibes you’ll get.
Put the dish in the oven preheated to 350°F and bake until it gets golden brown and flaky on top, for about 30-35 minutes. Your kitchen will be filled with delicious cinnamon-sugar sweetness!
When the churro cheesecake is sufficiently cool, after about 20 minutes, you can slice it either into squares or rectangles for serving. It can be enjoyed warm as a gooey dessert or chilled to firm it up a bit in the refrigerator. You may choose to drizzle caramel or chocolate sauce for extra decadence or serve it with vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
Notes
- Ensure the cheesecake is fully chilled before slicing for the best texture.
- Cinnamon-sugar can be adjusted to taste for a more intense flavor.
- For a smoother finish, let the cream cheese mixture rest for a few minutes before spreading.
